If you find white or red spots but not itchy on your skin then immediately go to the nearest health center before you come to the skin specialist doctor. Furthermore, you ask the health center staff to do examination on your skin.

The government has trained staffs in health centers throughout Indonesia to conduct examinations and treatment of leprosy. Leprosy treatment is intended to:

1. Break the transmission chain.

2. Cure the patient.

3. Prevent the occurrence of defects in people with advanced or disability.

MDT regimen (Multi Drug Therapy)  is recommended by WHO are:

1. A. Dry Leper (PB)

   Adults:

   Monthly Treatment: Day One (of doses taken in front of the medical officer) 2 Rifampicin capsules and 1 tablet Dapsone.

   Daily Treatment: Day 2 until day 28 (take home) 1 tablet Dapsone. Patients will receive medications from the health center MDT blister as much as 6 to be drunk for 6-9 months.

2. B. Wet Leper (MB)

   Adults:

   Monthly Treatment: Day One (dosage taken before the officer) 2 capsules Rifampin, 3 capsules Lampren, and 1 tablet Dapsone

   Daily treatment day 2 until day 28: 1 tablet 1 tablet Lampren and Dapsone drink every day. Each type of MB leprosy patients will receive drug MDT 12 blister of the health center to be drunk for 12 months.

After taking the drug on the patient stated: Release From Treatment (RFT / Recovered)
